We all hate wearing our white dress shirts for work or a lavish event, thinking we look elegant and sharp, to only realize that antiperspirant deodorant has not done the job, so now we have these yellow visible pit stains. Well to avoid this for the future, let’s understand it.
Most antiperspirant deodorants we buy contain the active ingredient of aluminum, that when mixed with our protein induced sweat causes yellow stains into our white shirts. Also, cotton being a protein adds to the effect making the stain tougher to get out.
So, why is it we choose the deodorants containing the harmful material of aluminum? The chemical compound is used to block our underarm pores and prevent bacteria from processing fatty acids and proteins which result in an underarm odor. Deodorants without aluminum that mainly contain alcohol are made to kill bacteria and mask any smells that may be forming.
In wearing moisture wicking and sweat proof clothing, the most recommended of deodorants would be those that do not contain aluminum since they are not necessary to add onto our aluminum intake for health reasons.
