Today we’re seeing companies become more casual in the work place, but it does not mean that’s the way we should present ourselves for the first impression. To walk into a job interview wearing a well-tailored suit is the very first and judged impression, it says to the interviewer that you’re taking this serious and that you are someone to really pay attention to for the job.
Not only is going into an interview with a good-looking suit for the future employers’ benefit, but also for your own; to have self-confidence is key as you present yourself and your qualifications. With this in mind, there is nothing worse than having that last-minute coffee before an interview to only spill some on your suit jacket and/or dress shirt that compromises both; impression and confidence level. Take a look at Vardama’s Navy Blue suit for that accidental spill and stain repellency protection.
If you’re thinking accessories; try to keep it simple. A nice wrist watch with a band that compliments the suit jacket and dress shirt (showing a little cuff), and a leather portfolio to hold onto your resume and other documents going into the interview to show you’re well organized. Also, not to forget your grooming habits, a good shave, well-combed hair with some product to keep it in place and a light spray of cologne.
Best of Luck!
